We have an enviable record of providing an outstanding learning environment for students, while working to meet the needs of each student.
We know the importance of a school environment where every boy or girl feels safe, cared for and supported. At Calwell High School we achieve this through our school community, school culture and student wellbeing program working in partnership with parents and carers.
At Calwell High School, our Youth Workers play a vital role in supporting the wellbeing, growth, and engagement of students. Each morning, they run a warm and welcoming Breakfast Club, providing toast, milo, and a friendly space to start the day—along with Pancake Day every Wednesday, a student favourite.
Beyond daily support, Youth Workers deliver targeted programs that focus on social and emotional learning, movement, identity, and healthy relationships. They also assist students navigating key transitions, offering guidance for incoming Year 7 students and supporting Year 10s as they prepare for life beyond high school.
Individual support and case management are central to their work, ensuring that every young person has someone in their corner—someone to listen, advocate, and help them build the skills they need to thrive both at school and in life.
Each student has a Year Advisor who supports them through their years at Calwell High School, building a strong and open relationship over four years. All students have access to counselling services. This professional support is integral to our student wellbeing program.
Our students have the confidence to be themselves, in a school where they know they belong.
