A school newsletter is published once a week. The newsletter is emailed directly to families and a link is added to our website and shared via our social media pages.

The newsletter contains interesting and important information that students and parents need to know and is a wonderful way of keeping in touch with the Calwell High School community.

Social Media

Calwell High School has a presence on Facebook. This is a brilliant way of keeping up to date on important news and events at the school. Many of our teachers also use Twitter and utilise the #calwellhs tag to show posts that may have special relevance to parents and students.


We encourage parents and guardians to use email for their contact with teachers regarding teaching and learning, excursions, concerns, achievements and other non-urgent matters.

We hope that email will allow teachers to provide more timely and detailed feedback to parents and guardians about their students. Email will become our primary method of communication for non-urgent, one-to-one messages. It is also the method we use to send reports home at each stage of learning throughout the year.

Email also allows parents and teachers to make contact without requiring them both to be available at the same time. Your email address will not be shared with other entities or used for any other purpose.
