Transition from Year 6

Dear Parent/Carer

Welcome to our school community. We are pleased you have selected Calwell High School for your child's education. We look forward to his/her arrival in 2009 and to working with you over the next four years.

Shaun Haidon is the teacher liaising with your child. He will be the Year 7 Adviser in 2009 and is available to answer any of your queries on 6205 6833.

At Calwell High School we believe that providing young people with the best educational outcomes is based upon a partnership between the school and the community. We encourage you to contact us at any time if you have any concerns or issues. 

All Year 7 students are required to attend the first day of school from 8.55am till 3.05pm on Monday 2nd February 2009. Students are expected to be wearing summer dress code.                           

The day will begin with an assembly for new students which parents and carers are very welcome to attend. Students will then be met by their Tutor Group teachers and Year 10 Quest leaders.

Following the formal administrative procedures, students will progress through a shortened cycle of classes to familiarise them with the school's timetabling. Normal classes will begin on Tuesday 3rd February.
