Student Procedures - 2008

Late to school

Students who arrive late to school must bring a note from parent/guardian.

Students who fail to provide us with a note:

Late to tutor

1. Record on roll (p), Give Warning
2. Record on roll (p), Contact Home
3. Record on roll, Fill in Detention slip

Late after 9am (Missed Tutor)

Students will be placed onto Lunch Detention. Parents will be contacted.

Lateness and Signing Out
 
Students arriving late without a note may be given lunch or afterschool detentions.

Out of Dress Code

Students who do not comply with the school dress code policy may be placed on lunch or afterschool detentions and or have their parents contacted.

• Colour Code:

1. Students out of Colour code will be asked to change if possible. They will be issued with a warning.

2. Students will be given a lunch time detention and asked to change if possible. Parents contacted.

• Inappropriate footwear:

1. Contact home, out of practical activities
2. Contact home, after school detention

• Offensive or inappropriate clothing:

1. Contact home, asked to change
2. Contact home, after school detention

Leaving School Grounds

Students have been informed of appropriate places to sit during recess and lunch.
Students who are found out of bounds during recess or lunch may be given lunch detentions. If found leaving school grounds without signing out, students may receive after school detentions. Parents will be contacted.

No Go List

Students who do not comply with the school rules may be placed on the "No go list". This prevents them from participating in school excursions during the period of time they are on this list. Students will be on the "No Go List" for a minimum of 2 weeks and until they demonstrate appropriate behaviour across the school.

Students will be placed on the No Go List for:

1. Suspensions
2. Level 3 Commitments
3. Persistent non compliance
While on this list students will not be able to attend any out of class activity ie, sporting teams, performances, excursions

Truancy

• Parent / Guardian will be contacted.
• Students who truant class will need to arrange with their teacher a suitable time to catch up on work missed (lunch or after school)
