Dress Code Policy
Dear Parents / Guardians
The School Board and Staff have endorsed the following Dress Code Policy for 2006. Parental support is essential if this policy is to work. Many parents have indicated that they would like to see this code enforced. This will not be possible unless the school has support from all parents.
School tops - polo and polar fleece - order forms are available from the front office or download here for school polo top or here for winter polar fleece sweatshirt. The policy is based on the following principles:
Student security at school - intruders are easily noticed.
Attitude to study - assists students to remember that school is primarily a place for work and learning. Students must come dressed to school to be a student.
Safety and accountability outside school - students are easily identifiable on excursions and when traveling to and from school,
Student unity - helps to develop a school spirit and culture; facilitates a positive image in the community.
Expense and equity - reduces pressure to buy brand/label clothing and does not go out of fashion in a couple of months. (The cost of recommended tops for a whole school year and enough changes of clothing would be less than $100)
