All Government schools in the ACT are governed by a School Board. The Calwell High School Board consists of:

  • 3 elected parent representatives
  • 2 elected teacher representatives
  • 2 elected student representatives
  • School Principal
  • A nominee of the Department
  • Registrar is Minutes Secretary

The Board has the power to make decisions regarding the school's finances and curriculum.

The Board meets monthly or more frequently if required. The Board chair informs the P & C Association of its activities and decisions each month.

Visitors are welcome and should arrange an invitation with the Principal or Board Chair. School staff are invited to attend all Board Meetings.

The elected positions on the Board are for two years on a rotating basis in order to provide continuity.
