Enrichment and Extra-Curricular Programs

Calwell High offers many opportunities for student learning beyond the classroom. Each week students have one hour of enrichment activities. Students choose from a range of activities and interests that allow them to develop a range of skills.

Examples of enrichment programs include:

In addition to regular enrichment groups there are also additional programs that allow students to further develop their relationships and learning as well as receive recognition for their efforts.Some of these programs include:

  • Careers education and work experience
  • Volunteering opportunities
  • Camps in years 7 and 9
  • Dancefest and many other opportunities in the Performing Arts.
  • Interschool sport
  • Academic competitions
  • Vocational education
  • Specialised Learning Support Centre for students with additional needs
  • Trained teachers to support students with English as Second Language (ESL)
